Simple Kids Snacks for Independence Day

Are you looking for some simple, fun, and easy patriotic treats to create with your kids on 4th of July?

Don't worry, I have you covered. I have ideas for an effective chocolate treat, or for a healthier option - check the end of the post to find out how to create kid-friendly red, white, and blue fruit displays!

1. Patriotic Chocolate Cake

You will need:

Chocolate cake or cake bar
Squirty cream
Red and blue candy
KitKat (optional)
Mini Marshmallows (optional)

Put a chocolate cake on a plate.

Add some squirty cream on top.

You can create different effects with the cream.

Grab some red and blue candy, like M & M's, to decorate, and add some 'rockets' (optional) - we used KitKat sticks..

You could add some Marshmallows too (optional).

ENJOY!

2. Simple Healthy Patriotic Fruit Displays

You will need Strawberries, Blueberries, and Coconut.

Chop the strawberries in half, and slice the coconut into squares.

Arrange the strawberries and coconuts into stripes, leave some space to add the blueberries 'stars'.

Another simple idea - arrange the strawberries in a heart shape.

Follow the shape with pieces of coconut.

Fill the remaining space with blueberries.

Using mini cake pop sticks, place chopped strawberries, coconut, and blueberries to create a patriotic themed kebab snack.

I hope you and your kiddos have LOTS of fun with these simple and easy ideas. If you have any fun ideas that you'd like to share - please let us know below.
